Terms and Conditions for Enrolment

A Journalism Education Initiative

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern enrolment in and participation in any course, masterclass, crash course, workshop, or internship offered under Reflections Gurukul, a division of Reflections.Live (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By enrolling, making payment, or accessing any course material (“Program”), the participant, whether student, trainee, or intern (“Participant,” “you”), agrees to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not enrol or access the Program.

1. Fees and Payment
Program fees must be paid in full, or as per an agreed instalment schedule, before access to paid Content is granted. Fees are quoted in INR and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The Company reserves the right to revise fees for future batches or cohorts. Such revisions will not affect Participants already enrolled at a given fee.
2. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Fees are non-refundable once access to Program content has been granted, except where a Participant requests cancellation in writing within 1 day of enrolment and has accessed less than 10% of the Program content, in which case a refund (less applicable transaction charges) may be issued at the Company's discretion. No refunds shall be given for non-attendance, change of mind, dissatisfaction with pace or teaching style, or after a certificate has been issued. If the Company cancels or discontinues a batch, it will offer a credit toward a future batch or a refund, at its option.
3. Intellectual Property
All course material, videos, documents, slides, assessments, frameworks, and branding (“Content”) are the exclusive intellectual property of Reflections Gurukul, i.e., Flairbrains Techmedia Private Limited. Enrolment grants a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access Content for individual learning only. Recording, screenshotting, downloading (beyond permitted platform features), reproducing, distributing, reselling, publicly performing, or uploading Content to any third-party platform is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination without refund, and legal action for damages.
4. Internship-Specific Terms
As part of the training programme, interns shall be assigned research, writing, editing, or production work on various themes, including but not limited to true stories or events. Content created by interns shall be published on Reflections.live and shall remain the property of the intern who created it. The purpose of this work is to give interns practical experience and prepare them for the industry.
5. Code of Conduct
Participants shall not engage in harassment, plagiarism, cheating in assessments, impersonation, or any conduct that disrupts the Program or damages the Company's reputation. The Company may suspend or expel any Participant found in breach, without refund. Further, any intern found to have breached the Company's policies under these Terms shall be liable for the legal consequences that follow.
6. Certification, Performance Letter, and Letter of Recommendation

Certificates of completion shall be issued to Participants who meet the attendance and assessment criteria set by the Company from time to time. A certificate confirms completion of training and does not constitute a professional licence, media credential, or guarantee of recognition by any employer, publication, or third party.

The Performance Letter or Letter of Recommendation shall be issued only to Participants who meet the assessment criteria. The performance of Participants who write blogs or articles shall be measured in real time on our website, and shall be reviewed by the Company's assessment expert.

Certificates shall be issued to Participants irrespective of the Performance Letter. In other words, the assessment for certificates and the assessment for the Performance Letter or Letter of Recommendation are separate and independent processes. Thus, even if the online course is completed, the Participant remains eligible for the Certificate.

7. No Guarantee of Outcomes
The Program is educational and skill-building in nature. The Company makes no representation or guarantee of employment, freelance assignments, publication opportunities, income, or any specific career outcome as a result of completing the Program.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability arising out of or relating to the Program shall not exceed the fees actually paid by the Participant. The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of income, data, or opportunity.
9. Indemnification
The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its founders, employees, and instructors from any claim, loss, or damage arising from the Participant's breach of these Terms, misuse of Content, or misconduct during the Program.
10. Data and Privacy
Personal data collected during enrolment shall be used solely for Program administration, communication, and improvement of services. Testimonials, quotes, or work samples may be used for marketing purposes only with the Participant's explicit consent.
11. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure in delivering the Program due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including technical failure, illness, natural disaster, or government action, and may reschedule delivery accordingly.
12. Termination
The Company may suspend or terminate a Participant's access to the Program at any time for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct violations, without refund and without prior notice in cases of serious breach.
13. Amendment
The Company may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on the Reflections Gurukul website. Continued participation in the Program after such revision constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation. Failing resolution, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
15. Entire Agreement and Severability
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Participant and the Company with respect to the Program and supersede any prior understanding. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
